This holiday season, the National Childhood Cancer Awareness Tree, sponsored by
Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation's National office, is standing
tall once again in Washington DC.
Located for the entire month of December in the
Old Post Office
Pavilion, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave NW, the 25 foot tree glitters with
thousands of gold ribbons, each bearing the name of a child who has, or has had
cancer.
Please honor our cancer children by supporting this year's Awareness Tree
Event. Order your ribbon and have it added with your child's name to
the National Tree.

For
those able to attend the event, there will be a post-lighting
reception in the Old Post Office Pavilion including:
· Inspirational guest speakers. FDA Commissioner Mark B. McClellan,
M.D., Ph.D and Dr. Steven Hirshfeld M.D. Ph.D (speech
notes).
· Scenic view of our nation's Capitol from the 270
foot observation deck.
· Tours of the Tower Bells - the official bells of
the U.S. Congress.
· Another new book release by Candlelighters National Office entitled:
Educating the Child With Cancer, A guide for parents and teachers.
· Hand made quilts by Quilts4cancer.com, and designer hats by le-Top for
children attending the lighting event.

More than 2,000 individuals
visit this historic D.C. location each day. As a result, an estimated 60,000
people will view this tribute to America's cancer children!

Please support this national event and help increase public awareness of
childhood cancer. Help us surpass last year's 4,000 ribbons. Pay tribute to
your cancer child by adding their name to the National Childhood Cancer
Awareness Tree.
